Kolkata: BJP candidate Debangshu Panda has secured a victory in West Bengal's Falta Turnout constituency. Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate Jahangir Khan finished in fourth place. West Benga Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has expressed his gratitude to the people of Falta. Suvendu Adhikari stated that he would repay his debt to the people of Falta through development.

In West Bengal's Falta turnout constituency, BJP candidate Debangshu Panda received 149,666 votes. The BJP candidate defeated CPI(M) leader Shambhu Nath Kurmi. The CPI(M) candidate received only 40,645 votes. The victory margin in this constituency stood at 109,021 votes.
What Happened to Jahangir Khan of TMC?
According to the Election Commission, Congress candidate Abdur Razzaque Molla finished in third place in this constituency. The Congress candidate received only 10,084 votes. Meanwhile, TMC candidate Jahangir Khan received a mere 7,783 votes, finishing in fourth place in this constituency.

In this constituency, which has a total of 236,000 voters, the BJP has registered a record-breaking victory. The TMC had continuously held this seat since 2011. In 2021, the party had won the seat with approximately 57 percent of the votes.
