Yes, there was a pretty hilarious and slightly embarrassing moment on-air that I’ll never forget! I was co-hosting a recorded interview with a legendary Konkani writer. The guest was incredibly fluent in Konkani… my co-host,(ex biggie) not so much.

At one point, the guest said something witty in Konkani — not rude, but teasing — and I burst out laughing. My co-host had no clue what was said and kept asking me what it meant. I tried to explain, but she got even more curious and confused… and in that chaotic moment, she actually pushed me off the chair, sat on me, and kept pestering me to translate!

I was in splits, the guest was thoroughly entertained, and my co-host turned red with embarrassment — but all in good spirit. She’s still a dear friend, and we still laugh about that day.

Moments like these are what make this job so memorable!
