How do you prepare for interviews with special guests?

Preparation is essential. I research the guest thoroughly—recent work, controversies, interviews, even social media presence—to find unique angles. I prepare questions that are respectful but probing, aiming for genuine conversations, not PR scripts. At Big Live, we also coordinate with guests or their teams beforehand to set expectations and avoid surprises. But I keep space for spontaneity because the best moments come from unplanned questions or reactions. During the interview, active listening is critical—I follow up on interesting points or emotions. Preparation shows respect for the guest and the audience and results in richer content.
