What is ur advise to youngsters who wants to choose this profession of urs?
Hi Madhukar bab,
Today’s youngsters are way smarter than my generation, no doubt about that! But yes, I do come with more years of experience.
If I had to share one key piece of advice—it would be this: RJing is not just about speaking on radio, but about making your listeners feel what you say. And to truly connect, you’ve got to dedicate yourself to the art. Otherwise, it just becomes another 9 to 5 job.
Also, mastering the nuances of language, staying updated with the world around you, and most importantly—knowing what to say on-air and what to avoid is crucial. Our personal life, mood, or stress should never spill into the mic. That’s our listener’s safe space.
Having said that, I really believe this generation is racing ahead with amazing ideas, tools, and energy.
So… all the best to them! The mic is waiting!
