What’s the hardest part about being an RJ?
“The hardest part about being an RJ is handling the unpredictability of live radio — you never know what’s going to happen next! Whether it’s unexpected calls, technical issues, or sensitive topics coming up suddenly, you need to stay quick on your feet and keep the show flowing smoothly.
Another challenging part is managing your own emotions and opinions. Sometimes, you might feel strongly about something, but you have to maintain professionalism and keep the focus on entertaining and engaging your audience without crossing boundaries.
Also, balancing personal life with the demanding schedule of live shows can be tough. Long hours, late nights, and constant preparation require dedication and discipline.
But honestly, despite these challenges, the thrill of connecting with listeners, making their day better, and being a part of their lives makes it all worthwhile. It’s a job that’s demanding, but also incredibly rewarding.”
