Television Systems (TVS) is the third-largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the country, and it offers a diverse selection of types of motorcycles. Although the company has a long history of involvement in racing and motorsports, it has not yet expanded its operations to include trail and adventure sports. The first adventure touring motorbike that TVs has ever produced was granted a patent a few months ago.
Soon after, a prototype of the same thing was discovered being tested. Currently, the factory located in Hosur has managed to secure a patent for yet another motorbike, this time a supermoto. A concept version of the Apache RTS X, which was shown by TVS earlier this year at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, has been granted a patent by these companies. At first inspection, the patent illustration appears to be somewhat similar to the notion being discussed.
What can we anticipate from the TVS Apache RTS X?
Along the same lines as the concept, the TVS Apache RTS X patent appears to be a machine from a Hollywood science fiction film, complete with a fascia that is both flat and pointed. Whether or whether the flat panel is the headlight is not something that can be determined. In the event that this is not the case, it is reasonable to conclude that the bicycle is still in the idea stage. This gives the motorbike a dominating attitude since the handlebars are tall and uprightly positioned. The gasoline tank is concealed within the bodywork, and the expanded shrouds give the motorcycle a look that is both sleek and sophisticated.
Additional visual elements include a single-piece saddle that is relatively flat, a beak that is located in the front, and a tiny rectangular screen that is used for instruments. The RTS X is positioned on a pair of slicks, which gives the impression that it is designed to be driven on racetracks and streets. It is anticipated that the thick front forks that are positioned in an upside-down position would be borrowed from the future Apache RTX adventure tourer. On the other hand, in contrast to the latter, the supermoto rides on wheels that are somewhat smaller. Furthermore, the Apache RTS X is equipped with a traditional mono-shock in addition to a sophisticated swingarm at the rear chassis.
TVS' newly designed 299cc, liquid-cooled RTX D4 engine, which was introduced in December 2024, will be the source of power for the production version of the Apache RTS X. This engine was first introduced in December 2024. The maximum torque that this motor is capable of producing is 28.5 Nm, and it can produce 35 horsepower. Through the use of a six-speed gearbox that is equipped with a slip and assist clutch, power will be sent to the rear wheels.
The design that was shown at the Expo earlier this year weighted 144 kg kerb and had the ability to speed from 0 to 60 kilometers per hour in 2.8 seconds and in 6.3 seconds to 100 kilometers per hour. There is currently no information available from TVS on a possible launch date for this motorbike.
