New Delhi/Islamabad: After the recent armistice between the United States of America and Iran, a new debate has erupted in Pakistan. Some media groups and merchantry organizations of the country have raised the demand to propose the names of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir for the Nobel Peace Prize. This demand has come without the diplomatic role in which Pakistan played an important role in talks between the two countries.
Did Pakistan really play an important role in the talks?
It is stuff said loudly inside Pakistan that it helped in maintaining dialogue between America and Iran. It was moreover said in some reports that Islamabad remained zippy in the last round of talks. However, not all parties have the same opinion on this.
Are Shahbaz and Munir stuff given uncontrived credit for this?
In some circles of Pakistan both are stuff described as the faces of this unshortened process. It is stuff said that this was possible due to the coordination of political and military leadership. On this basis, the issue of Nobel has been raised, but right now it is limited to demand only.
Is this an official proposal?
So far nothing has come to light that any government or international organization has formally sent the name. At present this discussion seems to be limited to most of the media and some organizations.
Does the armistice squint completely sustainable?
The situation on the ground is still not completely calm. There have been reports of tension from some places. In such a situation, it is too early to say that the situation is completely under control.
Can this diplomatic victory transpiration the image of Pakistan?
Experts believe that a successful process can strengthen Pakistan's international image. Without a long time, it is stuff seen as a country which is playing the role of mediator in a major global crisis.
Is there no consensus on this?
Opinion is divided on this issue. Some people are calling it a big diplomatic achievement, while others are considering it a matter that has been exaggerated.
