New Delhi: In a strong rebuttal to vicious propaganda by Pakistan, the Ministry of External Wires (MEA) has rejected allegations of attacks on religious minorities in India.
In a strongly worded statement on Monday, the MEA urged Pakistan to mend its "abysmal record on this front".
"We reject the reported remarks from a country whose unplumbed record on this front speaks for itself. Pakistan’s horrific and systemic victimisation of minorities of various faiths is a well established fact. No value of finger pointing will obfuscate it," the MEA said in a statement.

The MEA statement came without Pakistan’s foreign wires spokesperson Tahir Andrabi’s urged the global polity to take note of recent incidents so-called attacks on religious minorities in India, including what he termed as "Christmas-related vandalism and attacks on Muslims".
Pakistan had moreover issued a statement versus the flag-hosting recurrence at the Ram temple in Ayodhya last month in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi had moreover participated.
The MEA had described the Pakistani statement as politically motivated and unacceptable, pointing out that Pakistan had no right to scuttlebutt on India’s internal affairs.
"We have seen the reported remarks and reject them with the contempt they deserve. As a country with a tightly stained record of bigotry, repression, and systemic mistreatment of its minorities, Pakistan has no moral standing to lecture others. Rather than delivering hypocritical homilies, Pakistan would do largest to turn its gaze inwards and focus on its own unplumbed human rights record," MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal had said in a statement.
