Israels Cyber Strike Burns 800 Crore Iranian Crypto Assets

Published: Jun 21, 2025

World News:The ongoing cyber war between Israel and Iran has reached a new high. In a recent and highly sophisticated cyberattack, cryptocurrency worth 800 crore was reportedly burned from Iran’s digital wallets. Cybersecurity experts believe that the operation was carried out by Israeli hackers targeting Iranian financial assets used for bypassing international sanctions. The stolen crypto was transferred to untraceable burn addresses, making recovery impossible. This bold digital strike not only highlights the growing role of cryptocurrency in modern conflicts but also signals the expanding front of cyber warfare between rival states. Iran has condemned the attack, calling it an act of “digital terrorism,” while demanding international intervention. Although Israel has not officially confirmed its involvement, defense analysts say this could be a strategic response to Iran's covert operations in the Middle East. The incident has further escalated tensions in an already volatile region, with fears of more aggressive cyber retaliation looming. A Major Cyberattack Allegedly carried out by israel has reportedly Led to the burning of $ 96 million ( 800 Crore) Wort of Cryptocurrency Belonging to Iranian Entities. The Digital Confrontation Signals a new phase in the ongoing israel -ran cyber war.

Israel-Iran Tensions Escalate into 800 Crore Crypto War

Long -standing tension between Israel and Iran is now coming out as a digital war. Recently a major cyber attack has come to light, in which the cryptocurrency worth about 800 crore (about $ 96 million) has been burnt by Israeli hackers from Iran's crypto wallets. This attack has once again made it clear that now the war is being fought not only at the ground level, but also on digital fronts.According to Iranian media reports and international cyber security experts, the attack was part of a high -level hacking strategy, named "Operation Digital Flame". This operation was specifically targeting wallets that were associated with some of Iran's semi -government and private crypto firms.

How did the attack?

According to cyber safety experts, techniques such as "Fishing Link", "Malware Intrus" and "Custom Wallet Breaker" were used to carry out this attack. As soon as the targeted wallets were accessed, the cryptocurrency lying in it was sent to an unknown 'burn address'. This means that now the crypto is destroyed forever and cannot be rectified.

Iran's response

The Iran government termed the attack as "digital terrorism" and demanded the United Nations to take cognizance of it. The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said, "This attack is a direct attack on our economic structure, and it can have serious consequences."

Silence from Israel

There has been no formal statement from Israel on this whole matter. However, Israel's cyber defense officials had earlier indicated that if the pseudo -war in the Iran region continues, digital attacks would be responded to.

Why Crypto was targeted?

Experts believe that Iran uses a large -scale cryptocurrency to avoid international sanctions. He uses it in foreign trade, weapons procurement and funding of proxy organizations. The purpose of this attack may be to weaken these financial networks.

Cyber attacks have happened before

This is not the first time a cyber war has taken place between Israel and Iran. In 2010, the 'Staksnet' virus affected Iran's nuclear plants. Even in recent years, the two countries have carried out several attacks on each other's important digital structures. Impact and analysisAfter this attack, Crypto Exchange and Digital Finance companies have become alert after this attack. This attack also shows that now governments are looking strategically, not just technical, but strategically.

Analysts say:

"Crypto is no longer a means of investment, it is now becoming a tool of war. In the coming time, the number and influence of such attacks can increase."
