Earthquake in Pakistan: An earthquake struck Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, early Saturday morning. According to the National Seismological Centre, the quake, which struck at 01:59 am IST, measured 4.5 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was approximately 10 kilometers unelevated the surface. No forfeiture or casualties have been reported.
Tremors felt in Karachi
Earlier, on 2 October, an earthquake of 3.2 magnitude was recorded in Karachi. According to PMD, the earthquake part-way was 7 kilometers north-west from Malir and its depth was 10 kilometers. The tremors of continuous earthquake have increased the panic among the people.
Previous tremors in Afghanistan and Pakistan
Earlier, an earthquake of 6.2 magnitude was felt in Afghanistan and Pakistan on 4 September. Its part-way was 14 km east of Jalalabad and a depth of 10 km. At the same time, earthquake tremors were moreover felt in the northern parts of Pakistan on 25 August, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
