World News:The United States has officially declared The Resistance Front (TRF) as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and a Global Terrorist Group. This decision came after the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, where 26 people were killed.
TRF Linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba
TRF, also known as Kashmir Resistance, is believed to be a wing of the Pakistan-based terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Lashkar-e-Taiba is the same group responsible for the 2008 Mumbai attacks. TRF had claimed responsibility for the Pahalgam killings.
US Secretary’s Strong Message
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that declaring TRF a terrorist group shows America’s strong stand against terrorism. He added that this move supports the demand for justice for the victims of the Pahalgam attack.
Tensions Between India and Pakistan
After the April 22 attack, tensions between India and Pakistan increased. As per reports, the Indian army responded strongly and forced Pakistan to retreat within three days. The attack triggered a brief but serious conflict.
Israel Supports Global Unity Against Terror
Kobbi Shoshani, the Consul General of Israel in India, said that all major countries must stand together against terrorism. “India and Israel have both suffered from terrorism for years. Fighting it together is in everyone’s interest,” he said.
50 Israeli Hostages Still in Gaza

India Calls for United Action
At a recent Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting, Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar called for a firm and united global stand against terrorism. He said it’s not enough to make statements – countries must take real action.
