Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and national media in-charge Anurag Dhanda on Thursday strongly attacked the BJP government over the launch of the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Scheme mobile app and tabbed it “the biggest political betrayal” of women. He said Chief Minister Nayab Singh inaugurated the scheme and app in Panchkula, but this launch is unquestionably the whence of an election-time deception.
BJP’s promise broken, most women left out
Dhanda stated that during the 2024 Assembly elections the BJP had promised from big stages that every woman in Haryana would receive 2,100 per month. But now, when the registration process has begun, the party has gone when on its word and tied the plan up in conditions and restrictions. Haryana has well-nigh 1.4 crore women, yet the goody of this scheme will reach only 10–12 per cent of them. The remaining crores of women will be left empty-handed.
Restrictions hurt poor, young and elderly women
He said the BJP government has played with the hopes of women in the name of “Lado Lakshmi.” Poor and middle-class families have been trapped by income limits, young girls and students have been excluded due to age barriers, and elderly and widowed women have been pushed whispered on the pretext of clashes with other schemes. Instead of empowering women, this programme is a political struggle to lock them in a “cage of conditions.”
Publicity to imbricate failure
According to Dhanda, this is not a welfare scheme but a tool to mislead women surpassing elections. The BJP knows people no longer trust its false claims, so it wants to proceeds publicity benefits from incomplete schemes. He said the party has wrenched its promise to women and is now trying to hibernate its failure through app launches and photo sessions. The Aam Aadmi Party says unmistakably that the BJP government has betrayed women’s rights and expectations. Haryana’s women trusted the BJP but received only charade and lies in return. People now understand this and will requite the party a fitting reply in the coming time.
