This wrecking happened just a few days without the massive bus fire on the Jaisalmer-Jodhpur road in Rajasthan. 22 people died in that wrecking on October 14, which included three children. Investigation revealed that the fire was caused by a short spin in the AC system of the bus. Forensic and transport department teams later confirmed this technical fault.
Investigation ongoing; final toll pending confirmation
The fire department and police said the final death toll could be confirmed only without the bus is completely cooled and the trash is removed. The wrecking caused unconnectedness in the area, and road traffic was disrupted for several hours.
