Bihar: In the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, the most talked-about campaigner was Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Within just ten days of his whistle-stop he visited 31 seats, held rallies, led roadshows, and plane walked through narrow local streets. What made this increasingly striking was that many of the places he visited later showed the BJP taking the lead.
Yogi Adityanath began his wayfarers on 16 October and unfurled for ten straight days. During this time, he addressed rallies wideness districts such as Darbhanga, Gaya, Bhojpur, Saran, Mithila, Seemanchal, and Magadh. His roadshow in Darbhanga gained sustentation as people gathered in huge numbers.
Throughout the campaign, he sought votes for 43 candidates from the BJP, JDU, LJP (Ram Vilas), HAM, and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha. In each rally, he targeted the opposition directly and presented the NDA as the stronger choice.
Why Did Yogi’s Wayfarers Boost BJP Leads?
Wherever he held rallies, BJP candidates gained momentum. In Jamui, Shreyasi Singh secured 75,453 votes with a lead of 34,376. In Tarari, Vishal Prashant was superiority by 9,197 votes. Kumar Pranay in Munger held a lead of 16,216, while Ranjan Kumar in Muzaffarpur led by 18,826. Many other seats such as Danapur, Saharsa, Buxar, Sikti, Parihar, and Motihari moreover showed progress for the BJP.
What Happened on the Raghunathpur Seat?
One exception appeared in Raghunathpur, where RJD’s Osama Shahab moved superiority with 58,399 votes and a lead of 16,894. This seat drew sustentation considering Yogi had strongly criticized Shahab during his rally, calling the races a fight between law and crime-based politics. His remarks became a topic of debate during the campaign.
How Did Yogi’s Presence Shape Voter Mood?
BJP leaders requirement Yogi’s visits created a mix of Hindutva and minutiae themes, which shifted voters toward the NDA. In several tropical contests, they believe his presence reverted the mood and helped the BJP proceeds the upper hand.
