New Delhi: By-elections are stuff held for 12 seats of Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) on Sunday. Voting, which started at 7.30 in the morning, was slow in the first few hours, but as time progressed, crowds started seeming at the polling booths. According to preliminary data of the Referendum Commission, well-nigh 14 percent voting was recorded till 10 am.
Nearly seven lakh voters will decide the fate of 53 candidates in these by-elections. This referendum is important for all three parties – BJP, AAP and Congress, considering the political wind in the wanted can be indicated from this result.
Tight security in many wards, ban on mobile phones

Voters have been standing in line since morning to tint their votes at Sangam Vihar diner 163A. At the same time, there was a lot of enthusiasm among the voters in Mundka ward. Policemen are transporting elderly people on wheelchairs to the polling booth, due to which voting remained smooth.
AAP candidate Geeta Rawat casts her vote
Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Vinod Nagar, Geeta Rawat came to vote with her husband. Many other candidates moreover completed their voting formalities early in the morning.
Monitoring from headquarters, strict security at all booths
State Referendum Commissioner Dr. Vijay Dev is monitoring the voting situation through live webcasting of all 12 wards from the headquarters. Police teams are deployed at all polling booths and instructions have been given to take firsthand whoopee on any complaint.

In Vinod Nagar ward, voters considered issues like cleanliness, condition of parks and interference of officials in illegal construction as important. Many voters said that they had come to vote only to solve local problems.

Congress's maximum focus is on Sangam Vihar and Chandni Mahal wards. Due to AAP's internal tussle in Chandni Mahal, Congress is seeing a endangerment for an edge. BJP completed door-to-door wayfarers several times by giving responsibility to its senior leaders on every seat.
