New Delhi: There is a sign of relief that now 13 districts will be worked in Delhi instead of 11, and there will be 39 subdivisions instead of 33. The government says that this will make legalistic work easier, and citizens will have to go through fewer offices. The proposal has been tried on a pilot understructure by the state cabinet and is now pending the clearance of the lieutenant governor. After this change, work will be washed-up on a model like a mini-secretariat in every district, through which citizens will be worldly-wise to get most of the government services at one place, and there will be less paperwork and running virtually as compared to before.
How will the new districts and subdivisions be organized?
The government has delimited the districts equal to municipal corporation zones so that when needed, service providers, grievance redressal, and legalistic offices are present at one place. For example, names like “Old Delhi,” “Civil Lines,” and “Najafgarh” are included. In this new proposal, most of the districts are stuff given names equal to the zones of the corporation, due to which both local identity and legalistic ease have been kept in mind.
What relief will this provide to the public?
People in Delhi often squatter long queues for complaints, registrations, and offices as they have to visit variegated offices. The proposed transpiration will ensure that the resider gets most of the services in a single mini-secretariat or office. Equal to officials, this system will make the work and public service process easier.
Why was there a need to transpiration the name?
The government said that the zone structure of the corporation has been kept in mind while naming the new districts so that the identity of the wardship and local people can be better. Most of the names will be the same zone names. For example, most of the areas of the “South-West” zone will now come under the “Najafgarh” district.
Now what is going to happen next?
The proposal will now go to the lieutenant governor. After getting their approval, notification of new districts and subdivisions will be issued. Once it is implemented, there will be legalistic changes like office distribution, employee inauguration and enrollment, etc. Each district is targeted at providing largest coordination, settlement, and people-centric services.
