National News: AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj made a direct allegation, saying that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) falsely claimed to have conducted raids at 13 of his locations. However, the truth, he said, is that the ED could not disclose even a single location. In a sarcastic tone, Bhardwaj remarked that if such locations are really linked to his name, then the ED should come forward and reveal them. He added that this is nothing more than paperwork and a way to mislead the public. He further said that the ED should stop playing politics and instead present solid evidence. Finally, he quipped that if such properties do exist, the ED should inform him so that he can go and take possession.
Statement Manipulation Alleged
Bhardwaj revealed that ED officer Mayank Arora recorded his responses to 43 questions but later asked him to delete some parts. According to him, the officers then attempted to draft a new statement and get it signed, but he flatly refused.
Demand for Laptop and Printer Probe
He alleged that the Assistant Director of ED had sent his statement to someone using Wi-Fi. Bhardwaj challenged the agency to conduct a forensic examination of Mayank Arora’s laptop and printer, claiming that the real statement would be recovered from there.
Questions on Panchnama
He also raised doubts over the Panchnama procedure. Bhardwaj said that ED first showed an 89-page affidavit as seized in the Panchnama, but later removed it. He alleged that the so-called witnesses in Panchnama are always people from the ED itself, calling the entire process a “drama.” Targeting the BJP, he said that ED has become a tool to trap the opposition at the behest of the ruling party. According to him, the agency only seeks to create psychological pressure and impose false statements on leaders.
Mention of Daughter and Personal Pain
Bhardwaj further expressed his pain, saying that the BJP has created such an environment in the country that even his daughter has started saying, “everything is about money.” He alleged that honesty has now become a crime and accused the BJP of hollowing out the foundations of the country. He added that if ED believes otherwise, they are free to arrest him. Bhardwaj said he would never sign a manipulated statement and would present the original evidence before the court. He concluded by saying, “If we remain silent today, tomorrow someone else will be targeted.”
