Several regions remain cut off due to damaged roads and collapsed bridges. Entire villages have been submerged or swept away by flash floods. Emergency teams are working around the clock to rescue stranded citizens. Communication networks have also taken a hit, making coordination more difficult. The scale of destruction has prompted the state government to declare a red alert in multiple districts.
Chief Minister Leads Relief Efforts
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has been actively supervising rescue and relief operations. He emphasized that the situation is being treated with war-level urgency. Sukhu assured the public that their safety is the topmost priority of the administration. Along with senior ministers, he conducted a high-level review meeting to evaluate the crisis.
