DGP's Statement
DGP G. Venkataraman said that the program was permitted from 3 pm to 10 pm, but the prod had gathered since morning. People kept waiting for hours without water and food. By the time Vijay arrived at virtually 7:40 pm, the undercurrent was out of control.
