India to Pakistan Stop Blaming Us for a Treaty You Undermine with Terrorism

Published: May 31, 2025

National News: Addressing the first full session of the United Nations on glacier conservation in Dusamb, Tajikistan, Minister of State for Environment Kirti Vardhan Singh said that the problem of shrinking of glaciers is serious and in this context there is a need to take concrete steps globally. He appealed to developed countries to lead emissions cuts to save glaciers.

Pakistan accused of crossing border terrorism

Kirti Vardhan Singh made serious allegations against Pakistan of violating the treaty. He said that terrorism continues across the border from Pakistan, which is a hindrance in the effective implementation of the Indus Water Treaty. He said that Pakistan should stop blaming India as the real violation is taking place from Pakistan.

The minister said that there have been basic changes in the circumstances since the formation of the treaty, including technological progress, population growth, climate change and serious threats like cross -border terrorism. In such a situation, revaluation of the obligations of the treaty has become mandatory. He also emphasized that the treaty should be honored with goodwill and friendship.

Pakistan's misuse and condemnation of India

Kirti Vardhan Singh condemned Pakistan to raise unnecessary issues by misusing this platform. He said that such issues do not come under the purview of this international forum and India strongly criticized such efforts.

Pakistan Prime Minister targets India

At the Glacier Protection Conference, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif alleged that India has postponed the treaty for political interests, which is in danger of millions of people. Pakistani newspaper 'Don' has also described the decision as illegal and unilateral.

India's attempt to strengthen the situation globally

Amid this controversy, India has started hard work to strengthen its position globally. India has started sending teams of MPs and experts to clarify their side on various international forums. The government wants to ensure that the truth of the Indus Water Treaty and the issue of cross -border terrorism reached the world community. India's effort is associated with its growing military and economic strength, which promotes regional stability and cooperation.
