Mumbai: The name of the mayor of the country's richest municipal corporation has been finalized. The BJP's Ritu Tawde has been nominated by the Mahayuti syndication for the post of BMC Mayor.
Meanwhile, Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena has nominated Sanjay Shankar Ghadi as the Deputy Mayor candidate. Ritu Tawade is a corporator from Ghatkopar, while Sanjay Shankar Ghadi was elected as a corporator from Magathane.
When will voting take place?
Voting for the new mayor in Mumbai will be held on February 11 at 12 PM. This time, the post has been reserved for a sexuality corporator from the unstipulated category. The referendum is stuff overseen by BMC Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani.
