Delhi Police starts security checks
At the same time, with Independence Day approaching, Delhi Police has beefed up security across India. As per PTI sources, a large inspection drive was carried out at hotels, railway stations, bus stops, and other important places across Delhi. The checks were done at more than 100 locations over five days. During the drive, police found several security issues, such as CCTV cameras not working at hotels, parking lots, and food stalls near metro stations, railway platforms, and bus terminals. The main aim of the security checks was to fix these problems and make sure all safety systems are in place well before the national celebration.
