Punjab News: Continuing with Mission Employment to brighten the lives of Punjabis, the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has created a new milestone by providing more than 55,000 government jobs to the youth of the state in the first three years of its tenure.
On this occasion today, the Chief Minister said that previous governments used to fulfill only formality by giving some jobs at the end of their tenure, but my government started giving appointments from the very first day, as a result of which, till now, more than 55,000 government jobs have been given to the youth.
55000 jobs given on the basis of merit
Addressing the function organized on the occasion of handing over appointment letters to the newly recruited youth, the Chief Minister said that today 271 youth have been made part of the Punjab Government family by giving them appointment letters in various departments, and these youth will now actively contribute to the social and economic progress of the state.
He said that the youth of the state have gotten these jobs without any recommendation, solely on the basis of their merit. He also said that it is very sad that the previous governments did not provide employment to the youth. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that it is a matter of pride for all of us that 55,000 jobs have been given solely on the basis of merit.
Empowering Youth Through Government Jobs
The Chief Minister appealed to the newly recruited youth to serve the public with a missionary spirit. He expressed hope that these youth will use their pen to help the needy and deprived sections of the society so that the benefits of welfare policies can reach every section of the society.
He said that it is a matter of great pride and satisfaction that the state government has given government jobs to more than 55,000 youth so far. He clarified that all the recruitments have been done purely on the basis of merit. The Chief Minister said that the only agenda of his government from day one is to empower the youth by giving them government jobs.

Describing the government jobs for the youth as a historic initiative, he expressed hope that these jobs will change the fate of the youth. He said that this place has witnessed a glorious journey of providing jobs to the youth in various government departments. He said that this initiative reflects the commitment of the state government to ensure the well-being of the youth and open new avenues of employment for them.
Only education can bring us out of poverty
Criticizing the traditional political parties, the Chief Minister said that the previous governments never paid attention to providing quality education to the students. The children of big leaders used to study in convent schools in the mountains, so they never paid attention to government schools. He said that during the tenure of the previous governments, government schools were only midday meal centers instead of providing education.
Education Key To Ending Poverty
The Chief Minister said that now government schools are being upgraded to Schools of Eminence to impart quality education. He proudly informed us that Punjab has secured first position, leaving Kerala behind in the National Achievement Survey conducted by the Government of India. He said that 848 students of government schools have qualified for the NEET exam, 265 students have cleared JEE Mains, while 45 have cleared the JEE Advanced exam. He said that no free or concessional card can eradicate poverty and other social evils from the state, but education is the key that can raise the standard of living of the people and bring them out of the cycle of poverty. Looting Leaders Forced Mann’s Entry
The Chief Minister said that he had never aspired to join politics, but the ruthless looting of the state and its people by previous governments forced him to join politics. He said that these opportunistic and greedy leaders had neglected the state for their personal interests, due to which the people showed them the door and paved the way for new people to enter politics.
Mann Ensures Punjab’s All-Round Development
The Chief Minister said that he is working tirelessly for the development of the state and the prosperity of the people, and no stone is being left unturned in this. He said that during the previous governments, the state leaders used to compromise with the interests of Punjab, whereas today the Punjab government is focusing on the all-round development and prosperity of the state. He said that earlier leaders used to shy away from meeting the public, whereas today the government is working on the basis of public feedback.

The Chief Minister said that Punjab is witnessing a new era of unprecedented development as the state government is making great efforts to give a new dimension to development and progress. Exemplary development has taken place in education, health, power, employment, and all other sectors during the last three years. He said that the intention of the state government is clear—to serve the people of Punjab with dedication and honesty.
