Patna: Ahead of the Bihar Turnout elections, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) senior Lalu Prasad Yadav's younger son, Tejashwi Yadav, has made a major political move. Tejashwi Yadav has nominated Tej Pratap Yadav's cousin, Karishma Rai, for the Parsa Turnout seat. Rai is the niece of senior RJD leader Chandrika Rai, who is the father-in-law of Lalu Yadav's statesman son, Tej Pratap Yadav.
Lalu did not requite ticket to Karishma in 2020
According to sources, Karishma Rai was moreover seeking a ticket from the RJD in the last turnout elections, but was denied one. It was believed that the Lalu family denied Karishma a ticket due to the ongoing specimen between Tej Pratap and his wife Aishwarya Rai. The family supported Tej Pratap at the time.
Tej Pratap’s Family Equations Shift
However, five years later, the equations have completely changed. Tej Pratap is out of the party and family. He is contesting this turnout referendum by forming his own party. Tej Pratap Yadav will file his nomination from the Mahua constituency today. He has invited his supporters to shepherd the nomination.
Lalu Yadav's visualization to field Karishma Rai from the Parsa seat, balancing family ties and political equations, is stuff considered a significant minutiae in the region's politics. Bihar's turnout elections are scheduled to be held in two phases. Voting for the first phase will take place on November 6th.
