New Delhi: In a strong wade on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) shared a video on social media on Wednesday, ultimatum that a woman and her family members were brutally assaulted in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal.
What does the video show?
The video of the incident - which reportedly took place in Uttar Bhangnamari village under the Basanti woodcut of the Canning sub-division – shows the victim and her family members stuff attacked with bamboo sticks. The main accused in the incident have been identified as Jalil Laskar, Munna Laskar and Arif Laskar.

“No woman is unscratched in Mamata Banerjee’s West Bengal. Disturbing visuals have emerged from Uttar Bhangnamari village under Basanti Woodcut in the Canning Subdivision of South 24 Parganas district. As per the complainant, Jalil Laskar, Munna Laskar, Arif Laskar and others brutally assaulted her and her family members. The video speaks for itself,” Malviya said in the post.
“What is plane increasingly shocking is the well-constructed sparsity of fear of the law. Such brazen violence suggests that the perpetrators are confident of getting away, either considering of political patronage or the complicity and world-weariness of the state machinery,” he added.
Senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari , who is the leader of opposition in the West Bengal assembly, moreover shared the video on his X handle.
“This Anti Women State Govt must be ousted for the sake of safety of Women of West Bengal,” he said.
BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi said, "The manner in which women were assaulted in West Bengal under the Mamata Banerjee government has caused snooping wideness the country. It reflects a well-constructed dispersal of law and order in the state."
