Delhi Encounter: In a shocking update, four of Bihar’s most wanted criminals were shot sufferer by police in Delhi encounter on Wednesday night in Rohini. It is to be noted here that it was a joint operation by Delhi Police’s Crime Branch and Bihar Police. In the Delhi police encounter, the gang leader, Ranjan Pathak, is believed to be killed. He was the leader of the Sigma Gang, which is a criminal network zippy in Bihar and Nepal for several years.
As per the reports, the encounter took place virtually 2:20 am at Rohini. According to the reports, Police had received information well-nigh the movements of criminals in that area, and then decided to take coordinated action.
It is to be noted here that without the incident, the accused were taken to the hospital, where they were supposed dead. According to police, these criminals were most wanted in various cases of murder, robbery, and extortion in Bihar.
According to the Bihar DGP Vinay Kumar, many weapons, including AK-47, were recovered from the gang.
Who Was Ranjan Pathak?
The gang leader, Ranjan Pathak was 25-year-old and a resident of Malhai village in Sitamarhi. Accused of several murder cases, he was absconding for a long time. He was a wanted criminal with a bounty of Rs 50,000. He was leading the infamous Sigma Gang, which had a terror network wideness Bihar’s verge districts of Sitamarhi, Sheohar, and Madhubani.
Notably, this gang was an emerging criminal syndicate in Bihar. The gang was involved in several smuggling, murer cases, contract killings, and increasingly such criminal activities. As per the police, the gang moreover had its network wideness the Nepal border.
The Sigma gang was accused of several high-profile murders in Sitamarhi. One among them is, the murder of a former district president of the Brahmarshi Sena, Ganesh Sharma.
Other criminals killed in Delhi encounter?
In the Delhi Police Encounter, four other slain criminals were identified. They were:
- Ranjan Pathak (25), resident of Malhai, Sursand, Sitamarhi, Bihar.
- Bimlesh Mahto (25), resident of Ratanpur, Bajpatti, Sitamarhi, Bihar.
- Manish Pathak (33), resident of Malhai, Sursand, Sitamarhi, Bihar.
- Aman Thakur (21), resident of Sherpur, Karawal Nagar, Delhi.
