New Delhi: The ODI and T20 teams are to be spoken today during the ongoing Test series between India and South Africa. The selection committee meeting has been scheduled in Guwahati, and from there it will be decided who will take tuition of the team in ODIs—Rohit Sharma or KL Rahul. Meanwhile, the news regarding Shubman Gill has increased the problems of the team management.
Gill injury: Out of ODI, T20 hopes remain
Gill's neck suddenly got stiff on the second day of the Eden Test. He suffered a problem while playing the sweep and was treated by the physio on the field itself, but without stumps he had to be taken to the hospital. Even without reaching Guwahati, the situation remained the same. Doctors well-considered him to rest, and the BCCI medical team made it well-spoken that he would not be worldly-wise to play in the ODI. Gill said that he wanted to play, but his soul did not support him. There is still hope for a comeback in T20, as the series will start on December 9.
Rohit and Kohli's return confirmed
The ODI series is starting on 30th November in Ranchi. Without this, two matches will be held on 3rd and 6th December. Rohit and Kohli are returning to the team. Now the real question is well-nigh captaincy—will Rohit take up the responsibility again, or will Rahul get a chance?
