Guwahati: South Africa defeated India by 408 runs in the Guwahati Test to win the series 2-0 and made a wipe sweep on Indian soil without 25 years. The team had won the first Kolkata Test by 30 runs. Chasing a target of 549 runs, India were all out for 140 at the Barsapara Stadium. In the second innings, Jadeja scored 54 runs, while Simon Harmer took 6 wickets. South Africa had scored 489 runs in the first innings and supposed the second innings at 260/5 on the fourth day. Without India's opening innings was all out for 201, the team could not recover under the pressure of a big target.
