1. Australia
Australia has won five straight T20I series, including two convincing 3-0 series wins over New Zealand, demonstrating their continued dominance of the game.
They continued their outstanding performance at the just finished ICC Women's T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates. Australia has established themselves as the dominant team in women's T20I cricket because to their reliable performances and depth in both batting and bowling.
2. United Kingdom
Although they recently lost to Australia in the Women's Ashes, England Women have been reliable in the Twenty20 International format. According to the ICC rankings, they are presently ranked second.
They demonstrated their strength and competitiveness in the game's shortest format by defeating South Africa 3-0 at home to demonstrate their superiority.
3. India
Prior to enduring disappointment at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, India's women's squad had a successful start, winning the Women's Asia Cup.
They have bounced back from the loss with strong recent performances against the West Indies, solidifying their place in the top three T20I standings.
4. New Zealand
The White Ferns, who just won the ICC Women's World T20 tournament, have had difficulty sustaining their winning ways in home series against Australia and Sri Lanka.
Australia trounced Sri Lanka in the Twenty20 International series, which finished in a tie. Furthermore, after winning the World Cup, they fell to fourth position in the T20I rankings as a result of a 3-0 home series loss to Australia.
5. South Africa
The South African women's team had a great run in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 in the United Arab Emirates, finishing as proud runners-up despite missing out on the championship after a convincing 2-1 series victory against Pakistan on the road.
But they were defeated 3-0 by England in their most recent Twenty20 International series. They are currently ranked sixth in the T20I standings.
6. West Indies
By defeating Bangladesh 3-0 at home, West Indies Women gained crucial points in the ICC standings. The Windies' finest performance is still to come, as evidenced by their tight 2-1 series loss to India Women in December 2024. The group is still driven to improve on these outcomes and go up the T20I rankings.
7. Sri Lanka
The Sri Lanka women's side had a mixed record in Twenty20 Internationals following their victorious victory in the Women's T20 Asia Cup 2024 at home. Despite the difficulties, they have shown indications of improvement as they have drawn 1-1 against Ireland, had a poor performance at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, and most recently had another drawn series against New Zealand.
8. Pakistan
The Pakistan Women's side is presently playing below expectations after missing out on the semi-finals of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates. According to the most recent ICC T20I rankings, they are now in eighth place after suffering series losses to South Africa and England.
9. Ireland
The Irish women's squad is well-positioned to secure a spot among the top 10 T20I team rankings. They moved up to ninth place after defeating Bangladesh 3-0 in their most recent series.
Their three T20I series wins, including draws with England and Sri Lanka, demonstrate their increasing consistency and tenacity in the format.
10. Bangladesh
In addition to struggling in the Women's Asia Cup and the ICC T20 World Cup, they have yet to win any of their previous five T20I series.
