New Delhi: The 8th Inside Pay Legation has started collecting data from ministries, departments, organizations and other stakeholders. The process is fully online. The legation has made it well-spoken that only data submitted through the official online portal will be accepted. Emails, nonflexible copies, Excel sheets and physical documents will not be entertained under any circumstances. The recommendations of this legation will stupefy virtually 50 lakh inside government employees and 65 lakh pensioners.
Who can submit data?
The legation has asked for data from ministries, departments, inside organizations, Union Territories, defense forces, All India Services, employee unions, pensioner organizations and other relevant stakeholders. All of them need to register on the 8th Pay Commission's online data portal. Login requires an email ID and captcha verification.
What is the last date?
The deadline for submitting data is June 30, 2026. No data will be wonted if the deadline passed. Stakeholders should not wait until the last day as technical issues on the portal can rationalization delays.
Closing stage of suggestions and memorandums window?
The window for submitting suggestions and memorandums sealed on June 15, 2026. That deadline had once been extended twice surpassing it finally shut.
Where stakeholder meetings scheduled?
The legation will hold stakeholder consultations in several cities. Lucknow will host discussions on June 22 and 23. Bhubaneswar is scheduled for July 6 and 7. Kolkata will follow on July 9 and 10. Employee organizations, ministries and pensioner groups will all participate in these meetings.
When will the final report come?
The 8th Pay Legation was set up on November 3, 2025. It is expected to submit its final recommendations within virtually 18 months of formation. That puts the report virtually February 2027. But the very implementation of the recommendations could take flipside two to three years without that. Which ways the salary and pension hike may only come into effect by 2029 or 2030.
