Islamabad: Pakistan Senior of Defence Forces and Army senior Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Wednesday strongly objected to what he described as "unacceptable" the so-called use of Afghanistan soil for terrorist activities versus the country.
What did Asim Munir say?
Asim Munir on Wednesday visited the Wana zone of South Waziristan to review the security situation.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army's media wing, Munir during his visit reviewed the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness.
During the visit, Munir said that use of Afghan soil for terrorism versus Pakistan is "unacceptable and all necessary measures would be taken to neutralise the threat emanating from wideness the border."
Munir stated, "The use of Afghan soil by terrorists versus Pakistan will not be tolerated and all necessary measures will be taken to neutralise threats emanating from wideness the border."
What is Operation Ghazab lil Haq?
Munir's statement comes days without Pakistan recently launched a major military wayfarers versus Afghanistan known as Operation Ghazab lil Haq (Righteous Fury) on the night of February 26, pursuit so-called Afghan Taliban attacks on 53 locations withal the over 2,600 km border.
Munir said that peace could only prevail between both sides if the Afghan Taliban renounced support for terrorism and terrorist organisations.
