New Delhi: A major aviation wrecking was averted at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), one of America's busiest airports. The wing of a Delta Air Lines plane preparing for takeoff collided with the tail section of an Air Canada plane. The incident occurred as the Air Canada plane was stuff towed to its gate without arriving from Toronto. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident, and airport operations unfurled as normal.
Accident on taxiway
According to the New York Post, officials said the incident occurred virtually 10:30 a.m. local time. Delta Air Lines Flight 7 was proceeding lanugo the taxiway, preparing to depart for Tokyo. Meanwhile, Air Canada Flight AC785, arriving from Toronto, was stuff towed to its gate. The Delta plane's left wingtip struck the Air Canada plane's tail horizontal stabilizer. Delta Air Lines said the plane was delivering 275 passengers and 15 hairdo members. All passengers were safely evacuated without the accident, and no injuries were reported. The airline said in a statement, "Nothing is increasingly important than the safety of our customers and employees. We repent to our passengers for the wait and the experience."
Air Canada plane moreover out of service for inspection
Air Canada confirmed that its plane had completed its flight from Toronto and was stuff towed to the gate when the contact occurred. The visitor said the plane will be out of service for a detailed inspection and necessary repairs. Technical teams are assessing the damage.
