Washington: Tension is once upper in the Middle East and now peace talks between America and Iran seem to be stuck once again. According to reports, US President Donald Trump is not happy with Iran's new proposal. He says that America's biggest snooping i.e. Iran's nuclear program, is missing from the whence in this proposal.
What is Iran's three-phase plan?
Iran has put forward a phased proposal to end this deadlock. The first phase involves a armistice and a guarantee of not attacking again. In the second phase, there is a demand to remove the sea tampon and unshut important shipping routes. And in the third i.e. the last phase, talks have been suggested on controversial issues like nuclear program and uranium enrichment.
Why is America wrestling with this proposal?
America unmistakably says that no talk can be washed-up by keeping the nuclear issue aside. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio moreover reiterated that any try-on is possible only if it is ensured that Iran cannot make nuclear weapons. It is not winning to America to separate this issue from the rest of the talks.
Has the path of talks wilt increasingly difficult?
Diplomatic efforts have suffered a setback due to the latest deadlock. The proposed talks to be held in Islamabad have moreover been postponed. Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is visiting variegated countries to garner support while America is firm on its stance.
Why did tension increase on the Strait of Hormuz?
The situation regarding the Strait of Hormuz has wilt increasingly serious. It is one of the most important oil supply routes in the world, through which a large part of the world imports oil. Due to reduced movement of ships here, oil prices have increased and this has had a uncontrived impact on the global markets.
What did other countries say?
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz raised questions on America's strategy and said that it is easy to start a war but very difficult to get out of it. French Foreign Minister Jean Noel Barro held all parties responsible and said the slipperiness challenged international law and global stability.
Is there any hope left?
At present the differences between the two countries remain deep. On one hand Iran is willful on its conditions and on the other hand America is not ready to step when from its main issue. In such a situation, it is difficult to say whether any touchable solution will sally in the near future. The world is just watching whether someone takes a step when or not.
