Islamabad: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was in Pakistan on Tuesday for a one-day visit surrounded ongoing peace talks. During the visit, he met with Pakistan's top leadership and deliberated on regional developments as well as the ongoing peace negotiations involving the US. President Pezeshkian reiterated Tehran's transferral to strengthening bilateral ties and regional peace.
While meeting Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Pezeshkian appreciated Pakistan's efforts regarding the Iran-US talks and reaffirmed Iran's dedication to bolstering bilateral relations and regional stability. Zardari expressed hope that the ongoing dialogue would play a pivotal role in establishing peace in the region. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was moreover present to welcome Pezeshkian. The Iranian President arrived at Pakistan's Nur Khan Airbase; as his watercraft entered Pakistani airspace, JF-17 Thunder fighter jets provided a security escort. This marked the Iranian President's first visit to Pakistan pursuit the recent conflict.

Before valedictory for Pakistan, Pezeshkian stated that the visit's objective was to ensure the full implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in vibrations with international law.
