Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday made it clear that that permission for large-scale military strikes against Iran's nuclear program was given in November 2024 and was initially scheduled for April 2025.
In a speech given by the Israeli PM in Hebrew, he informed the citizens about the operation and said that this attack aimed at destroying Iran's nuclear capabilities was initially scheduled for April 2025, but it was postponed after deliberations on operational matters.
IDF and Defence Ministry Collaborate on Key Decision
Netanyahu, who appeared excited by the success of Israel's fierce attacks against Iran's nuclear installations, missile development centres and senior nuclear scientists and military commanders, said that he would try to make such statements daily. The Israeli Prime Minister said, "I had instructed the defence establishment to end (Iran's) nuclear program in November 2024."
"This could not be done on the previously scheduled date, and the exact date was determined on the recommendation of the IDF (Israeli Defence Force) in consultation with the 'Chief of Staff' and the Defence Minister," PM said.

The Israeli PM showed a paper and claimed that the operation was planned to be carried out in April this year. He insisted, "By chance or for minor reasons it did not happen – if Iran has nuclear weapons, we will not be here."
Netanyahu argued that Israel had assessed that Iran would accelerate its nuclear programme after the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, and it did so.
