New York: India has strongly reprimanded Pakistan in the United Nations and said that it should immediately stop the human rights violations taking place in the illegally occupied areas. Highlighting the dual vein of Pakistan, India said that Islamabad has unchangingly unexplored a dual policy in the matter of terrorism. Also, India unmistakably said that Jammu and Kashmir is its "integral and inseparable part."
Concern over human rights violations taking place in PoK
India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Parvathaneni Harish took on Pakistan while participating in an unshut debate organized on the 80th United Nations Day on Friday (local time). He said, "We undeniability on Pakistan to end the serious and persistent human rights violations in the areas under its illegal occupation. The people there are in unshut revolt versus Pakistan's military occupation, repression, brutality, and illegal exploitation of resources."
Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India
Harish strongly reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir has been, is, and will unchangingly be an integral and inseparable part of India. He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir exercise their fundamental rights under the democratic traditions and ramble framework of India, but concepts like democracy and rights are still foreign to Pakistan.
India's global vision: 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'
In his address, the Indian Ambassador emphasized the Indian idea of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' and said that India has unchangingly advocated justice, respect, and equal opportunities. "This is the foundation of our worldview. India believes in multilateralism, international partnership, and cooperation," he said.
Questions on the role of United Nations also
Harish praised the UN's contribution since World War II but undisputed questions over its relevance, credibility, and effectiveness. He said that the United Nations will have to wilt increasingly responsible and constructive in the waffly global system.
