The army took command
After taking over security operations in Nepal last night, the army on Wednesday said that curfew orders will remain in force throughout the day and will continue on Thursday as well. The army said that this step has been taken due to the current situation.
According to the Kathmandu Post report, the army has intensified its action against incidents of robbery and jailbreak. Four people involved in robbery in Maharajganj were detained, while the suspects fled leaving behind some cash and looted weapons after being spotted by security forces.

However, the city has been spared from Tuesday's violence, with smoke still rising from the headquarters of a Nepali media channel. The Parliament, Supreme Court and other governance buildings have been heavily damaged in the movement of Generation Z protesters.
