Washington, DC: Panic erupted near Harvard University late Friday evening when gunfire erupted among thousands of people gathered for Homecoming celebrations. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) reported that at least four people were injured, one in hair-trigger condition and flipside in serious condition. The shooting occurred at 8:23 p.m. local time in the 600 woodcut of Howard Place, directly proximal to the university's main campus (The Yard) and the School of Architecture.
