New York: RSS senior Mohan Bhagwat spoke on India's unity at the 'Universal Oneness Celebration' at Madison Square Garden in New York. He said that in America there is talk of 'Pluralism', but India's identity is 'unity in diversity'. Both unity and diversity are in the DNA of the people of India.
What did he say on India's diversity?
Bhagwat said that India's diversity is not just variegated languages, religions or clothes, there is a feeling of unity overdue it. It is important to gloat and respect diversity. Referring to Swami Vivekananda, he said that every country has a mission, and India's mission is to tell the world that there can be unity plane in diversity.

He said that people may be variegated in religion, language, dress, but from inside everyone is connected. He described humanity as the beads of a rosary, which is joined by a thread. Along with unsuspicious diversity, belonging to each other is moreover important.
What did you request to the Indians living in America?
Bhagwat said that for the Indians living in America, America is the 'land of work' and India is the 'birthland'. Be loyal to your work, fulfill your responsibilities and then contribute to your motherland India.
What did he say on money and success?
He said that only money and material comforts do not requite happiness in the long run. Giving the example of a doughnut, he said that plane getting too much of something does not requite satisfaction, the direction of thinking matters.

Bhagwat said that humans have the power to think and understand. If someone is eating supplies and there is a hungry person sitting in front of him, then the person will not be worldly-wise to eat the supplies vacated without seeing him. This is humanity's to understand the pain of others.

He said that it is not a Hindu idea to exclude any polity in India. The nobility of all human beings is equal. Embrace, respect and protect diversity. More than 5,000 people attended the event, which was organised by American Hindus for Engagement and Dialogue (AHEAD).
