Kolkata: The undercurrent heated up in South 24 Parganas on Sunday. Some people entered the party office of TMC MP Bapi Haldar and vandalized it. They threw office stuff here and there. As soon as the news spread, there was panic in the area. The police came running and somehow pacified the matter.
Why did people get angry?
Local people say that stock of relief material was kept in the office. Some people raised the question whether the land on which the office is built is legal or not. The debate started on just this matter. Slogans were raised and then the prod went out of control. Wrestling people attacked the office.
What did MP Bapi Haldar say in clarification?
Bapi Haldar denied all the allegations. Said that the items in the office were for the poor and needy. Some people are trying to defame as part of a conspiracy. Haldar says let the investigation be done, milk will turn milk into water.
What did TMC snivel BJP of?
