Kolkata: The West Bengal government on Sunday has taken a major step regarding foreign nationals living illegally in the state. The state government has issued instructions to establish special "holding centers" to deport illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya citizens to their countries.
The Suvendu Adhikari government has issued written instructions and guidelines to all district magistrates in West Bengal in this regard. The government has asked all district magistrates to identify suitable locations within their jurisdictions for these holding centers and uncork remoter whoopee as soon as possible.
The administration's focus is on verge districts and areas where illegal immigrants are increasingly likely to be hiding.
Infiltrators will be kept in centres until deported
