Jammu: The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Workbench spoken on Wednesday that registration for the Vaishno Devi yatra has been temporarily suspended due to heavy rush of devotees on the occasion of the new year.
According to the board, registration for the popular pilgrimage will remain sealed till Thursday morning. The workbench spoken that the yatra has been suspended in order to manage the large number of devotees and ensure smooth operations at the pilgrimage site.
“Pilgrims are requested to trammels the official website for updates and stave visiting during peak rush hours to prevent inconvenience,” the workbench said in a statement.
What was the condition at religious sites on New Year’s Eve?
Earlier on Wednesday, devotees thronged prominent temples wideness the country on the last day of the year 2025 superiority of New Year’s Eve 2026, offering prayers and seeking divine blessings. The Mata Vaishno Devi Temple is located atop the Trikuta hills in the Reasi district in Jammu.
