National News: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) launched a uncontrived wade on the BJP government and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini over the heavy losses suffered by farmers due to floods in Haryana. The party’s National Media In-Charge Anurag Dhanda said, "If farmers in Punjab can receive Rs 20,000 per acre as bounty within 30 days, then why can’t it happen in Haryana?" Dhanda stated that floods in Haryana have unauthentic 5.3 lakh farmers, 6,395 villages, and virtually 31 lakh acres of land. Despite this, farmers have not received a single rupee in bounty so far. In 8 districts, work for 15,834 acres of towage (girdawari) is still incomplete. He added, "Such massive losses have occurred, yet the BJP government is silently sitting. This is a uncontrived treachery of farmers."
BJP Government Under Fire
Targeting the BJP government, Dhanda said, "The government has only talked well-nigh 15,000 per acre as compensation, but nothing has reached the farmers’ finance yet. On the other hand, in Punjab, the AAP government decided on 20,000 per acre and credited the farmers’ wall finance on the 30th day itself. Work was washed-up in Punjab, in Haryana only talk happened." Making a sharp remark well-nigh Chief Minister Nayab Singh, Dhanda said, "The Chief Minister doesn’t plane see the farmers’ pain. Crops are not selling at MSP, fields are submerged in floods, crops are destroyed, yet the CM is rented saving his chair in Delhi. Instead of providing relief to farmers, the government has turned away.
Punjab Model vs Haryana
He explained that in Punjab, a special towage was spoken on September 11. The target was to well-constructed work in 45 days, yet farmers started receiving bounty on the 30th day. In 2,508 villages, the towage was completed, and bounty was given at 20,000 per acre for 3.5 lakh acres of land. Bounty for houses and livestock losses was moreover directly credited transparently into farmers’ wall accounts.
Dhanda said, "The only difference is intent. Farmers in Punjab received their rights on time, while in Haryana, farmers are still waiting. The BJP government is tangled in politics instead of helping farmers." He appealed to Haryana farmers to raise their voices versus this injustice:
"If the BJP government has any shame, it should repent to the farmers and immediately release compensation. Farmers need relief, not statements." Finally, he said, "The Punjab model has shown that if the intent is genuine, farmers can receive timely relief. Now, Haryana farmers should moreover demand answers from this ineffective and anti-farmer government."
