New Delhi: On Saturday, the inside government took a big decision. Lieutenant Unstipulated NS Raja Subramani has been made the country's new CDS i.e. Senior of Defense Staff. The tenure of the current CDS – Unstipulated Anil Chauhan – is ending on 30 May 2026. Without that, Raja Subramani will take over this chair. Along with this, he will moreover squint without the responsibility of secretary to the government in the Department of Defense Affairs.
Why was Raja Subramani considered right for this post?
Raja Subramani is not a new squatter in the army. Since September 2025, he has been a military counselor in the National Security Council Secretariat.
