National News: The suicide specimen of Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar has taken a new turn. An FIR has now been registered versus his IAS wife, P Amneet Kumar, and three others. The FIR, filed at Rohtak Sadar police station, moreover names Puran’s gunman Sushil Kumar, Bathinda Rural MLA Amit Ratn, who is Puran’s brother-in-law, and flipside person.
ASI’s suicide triggers investigation
The FIR came soon without ASI Sandeep Lathar shot himself with his service revolver in his uncle’s field house. Before his death, he left overdue a video message and a four-page suicide note. In both, he made serious allegations of self-indulgence versus late IPS officer Puran Kumar, his IAS wife, and their associates, accusing them of running extortion rackets.
