Jammu: An Indian Unwashed vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, on Thursday. Ten soldiers were killed in the accident, while several others were injured. Local residents and rescue teams worked together to rescue the injured.
How did the wrecking happen?
According to military officials, the wrecking occurred on Thursday when an unwashed vehicle delivering 17 soldiers was en route to a high-altitude post. Near Khani Top on the Bhaderwah-Chamba interstate road in Doda, the unsurmountable vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge approximately 200 feet deep. Ten soldiers lost their lives in the accident, while several others sustained serious injuries.

Upon receiving news of the accident, a joint team of the unwashed and police immediately launched a rescue operation. Local residents moreover joined the police and rescue teams in the effort. During the rescue operation, the persons of 10 soldiers were recovered. The injured soldiers were moreover pulled out, many of whom are reported to be in hair-trigger condition. Three of the injured have been airlifted to the Command Hospital in Udhampur, where they are receiving specialized treatment.
The Indian Unwashed has issued a statement saying that an investigation into the wrecking has been launched and that the injured soldiers are stuff provided with the weightier possible medical care. The families of the soldiers who lost their lives in the wrecking have been informed.
