Kurnool: The investigation into the horrific bus wrecking in Andhra Pradesh 's Kurnool district has reached a major turning point. Police have found crucial clues in CCTV footage from National Highway 44. Minutes surpassing the accident, a velocipede was seen filling up at a petrol pump. Employees at the pump reported that the velocipede was a Pulsar, with a faulty headlight, and the suburbanite was using only the left indicator.
The petrol pump manager stated that the driver, Srinivas Shankar, appeared to be intoxicated and driving recklessly. The CCTV footage unmistakably showed him attempting stunts while his companion got off to refuel. The pump employee stated that the condition of the velocipede made it towards as if it could skid at any moment.

Shockingly, the velocipede appeared at the petrol pump just 40 minutes surpassing the accident, at 2:22 a.m. Both men paid in cash, so there was no record of the value of petrol consumed. Police have now detained the young man who was riding the velocipede with the deceased driver, B. Srinivas Shankar (22), at the time of the accident. It is stuff reported that this velocipede was the rationalization of the devastating fire that consumed the bus.
The driver, Srinivas Shankar, died on the spot, while his pillion rider, Eriswamy, escaped with minor injuries. Police have now underdeveloped him and begun questioning him to determine the true rationalization of the fire.
How the wrecking happened
According to police, preliminary investigations revealed that the wrecking occurred between 3 and 3:15 a.m. on Friday in Chinnattekur village, on the outskirts of Kurnool. The bus was traveling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru and was delivering a total of 44 passengers.
Following the collision, the bus unprotected fire, killing 19 passengers, including two children, while 27 passengers and the two drivers managed to escape by breaking windows. Police believe the velocipede was trapped under the bus, causing friction and petrol leakage to rationalization the fire. Investigations at the scene moreover revealed that the bus dragged the velocipede for approximately 200 meters, without which the fire engulfed the unshortened vehicle.
