Mumbai: The results for 29 municipalities in Maharashtra, including Mumbai, were spoken today. In Mumbai, the BJP-Eknath Shinde syndication has achieved a resounding victory. The BJP moreover created history in Mumbai, winning the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (MNS) polls for the first time.
What did Eknath Shinde say?
“Voters in Thane have given a well-spoken majority. I thank the people of Thane for this. The people of Mumbai have moreover given the syndication the majority it needed. I thank the people of Mumbai for this as well,” Eknath Shinde said.
“The syndication is moreover seeing good success in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). In Mumbai, we fought and won these elections on the understructure of development,” he added.
Eknath Shinde said that the syndication will have mayors in most municipalities wideness the BJP state is in favour of the alliance.
“We have won in Thane, Kalyan-Dombivli, Ulhasnagar, and Mumbai. Shiv Sena has made a big impact in Mumbai. Mumbai has made a good start. The Mahayuti syndication will decide the mayor,” he said.
Taking a dig at Uddhav Thackeray, Shinde said, “some people fought this referendum based on sentiment. But the voters have chosen the alliance.”
What did Eknath Shinde say on Mahayuti’s minutiae agenda?
Shinde said that in the last three and a half years, Mumbai has seen the minutiae efforts of the Mahayuti alliance.
“In the last three and a half years, Mumbai has seen our efforts towards development. Me and Fadnavis, as senior ministers, have pushed forward many stalled projects, including road construction,” he said.
“The people of Mumbai have voted versus those who ruled Mumbai for 25 years. People have now wonted development. Those who rejected minutiae have moreover been rejected by the voters,” he added.
Shinde said that Mumbaikars have wonted the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance’s trademark of development.
“Even though issues of self-indulgence were raised surpassing the people, we have come closer to power. Now, considering the speed at which Mumbai's minutiae should take place, with the syndication having a mayor at the Center, in the State, and now in the Mumbai Municipal Corporation, good minutiae is now possible. Mumbai should be the way people want it to be,” Shinde said.
