New Delhi: The hearing has begun on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's petition versus the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in West Bengal. Mamata Banerjee herself attended the hearing and was seen at the forefront of the line of lawyers.

During the hearing in the Supreme Court, Mamata Banerjee said, "I am from this state, I can explain." She first greeted the three judges and then continued, "We are not getting justice. Requite me five minutes." The CJI responded, "We have no problem, we will requite you 15 minutes, but please listen to us first."
The CJI told Mamata, "Every problem has a solution. We will find a solution to this problem as well. Your state government is moreover present here. Your party is moreover here. You have the country's most senior lawyers. We have undisputed the problems you have raised – they are on record, but every problem has a solution." To this, Mamata said, "First, indulge me to speak and finish. I want to present some photographs. All the Bengali newspapers have published them. We want a solution to the problem. What did Mamata Banerjee say?
Mamata Banerjee said that some daughters have moved to their in-laws' homes without marriage, but their names have not been included in the voter list.
