Education Minister Sardar Harjot Singh Bains has written to the Chief of the Indian Air Force (IAF), Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, requesting to place retired MiG-21 fighter jets in state schools. These jets, once defended to protecting the country, will now inspire millions of students to dream of careers in defense and engineering.
MiG-21 to Reach Punjab Schools
Sardar Bains has asked the IAF Chief to set up five MiG-21 jets in government schools at Ludhiana, Amritsar, Ferozepur, Nangal, and Kharar. He said, “Together we can honor the MiG-21, a jet that will remain working forever in memory, and moreover instill in our children a deep sense of patriotism and commitment.”

The main aim of this initiative is to encourage government school students wideness Punjab to move towards careers in defense, aerospace, engineering, and technology.
